The new video unveils the meaningful neighbourhood and the new square

The construction of the Nesto project is going to plan, and the first flats will be handed over to their owners already in summer 2024. However, you can experience Nesto’s atmosphere already now by watching a video introducing the vision of this meaningful neighbourhood. Embark on a virtual tour that will unveil several interesting corners in Nesto, including the green promenade and the brand-new square. Both spaces will be connected with one another. The square will serve as an entrance into the green promenade – the green pedestrian zone, which will meander through the whole Nesto and will be dedicated to sports and leisure of all kinds.

Welcome to the square

As the video suggests, besides the green promenade, another dominant feature of Nesto South, the first stage, will be the square, which we put a lot of effort into. Why? Because squares are like mirrors. They reflect our intentions and our actions. They document our sense of responsibility, aesthetics, or community. Wherever in the world you are, if you take a stroll across a square, you will get a perfect picture of the people creating it. The square in the heart of Nesto will be no exception. Who will be the square for and what will be its purpose? Here is some inspiration:

A square of laughter and leisure

The square will feature a water fountain, which will be appreciated by both children and adults, especially in summer. Around the fountain, you can explore wooden islands with seating, ideal to have a coffee on or to watch your kids play in the fountain. The shade of the planted trees will also provide shelter from the summer sun. 

A square of culture and creativity

The wider open part of the square with stone paving will serve as an extension of your living room. During the entire year, it can host various events from more intimate music events through seasonal markets and food festivals to Christmas markets. Any meaningful event will be welcome.

A square of freedom and understanding

The square will form an entry gateway to Nesto from Kopčianska street, and this location is not coincidental. We want it to become a place for creating new communities and friendships, not restricted by Nesto’s gates. It will serve both children and seniors, working people, mothers, people doing sports or only coming there to relax.

A meaningful neighbourhood cannot be created overnight. Nesto is a project that will gradually grow over the next 10 years. The larger northern part is currently in the stage of an urban design competition; in the smaller southern part, the first stage Nesto C is being finished.
