High-quality public spaces are where long-lasting neighbourly relationships are created, adding higher value to a modern residential development. And we are working on this intensively at Nesto. This is why we commissioned the internationally renowned Czech-based company, mmcité, specialists for over three decades in the development, design and manufacture of street furniture to create the newest playground at Nesto, which was built by them in collaboration with their partner supplier, hrište.cz.
Playful geometric shapes, highly durable and sustainable materials, safe workmanship and excellent design bring back childhood memories in any grown up. But, of course, it’s the children who will have the most fun at the new playground in the up-and-coming Petržalka neighbourhood. The modern children’s playground, with its distinctive oak and larch elements, is located inside the perimeter block of the first three residential buildings, where the flats are currently awaiting final approval. New Nesto residents who are moving in this summer will feel safe letting their children out to play in a safe, high-quality space right under their windows. A temporary children’s playground is also being built in the Na námestí zone, another part of our ever-evolving modern neighbourhood.
Attractive playground with a sandbox
The playground will feature high-quality design from a company renowned for setting trends in street furniture, whose products regularly win prestigious design awards at home and internationally. The street furniture by mmcité is not only popular in our region, but was also a hit at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, where the Czech company has a branch office. Built in collaboration with hrište.cz, the latest Nesto playground features a number of attractive climbing frames, a designer stainless-steel slide, a large spring seesaw and a trampoline that is safe and easy-to-use even for children with disabilities. Some of the playground’s features are also designed for use by sports enthusiasts. “All our products are designed and built so their individual components can be easily repaired and replaced, even after decades. Nesto even has a sandbox, which is an uncommon sight for new developments these days. Even though it requires more maintenance, we believe it’s a key feature that always attracts children like a magnet,” said Erik Rybanský, mmicté’s sales director in Slovakia.
Both children and parents have plenty to look forward to at Nesto. We believe that high-quality, sustainable street furniture and the other play areas will promote a sense of community and encourage future residents to enjoy the public spaces together. They will become part of the genius loci we are carefully creating in Petržalka’s newest neighbourhood.
